Every week, I post articles, parenting tips and other resources for parents on my Facebook page. To provide these resources to you, I have to do a lot of reading and weeding through the good and the bad information that is available on the internet
Anyway, as a result of this daily reading and weeding, I’ve learned who provides the good, great and excellent, and who to stay away from.
In today’s post, I am going to share what I’ve learned and give you my opinion about three parenting bloggers that (I think) are worth following. I won’t say that these three bloggers are the best, because it completely depends on what you are looking for in a parenting blogger to make a bold statement like that. However, what I will say is that for most parents, these three blogs are worth your time.
#1 Scary Mommy
If you are looking for a blog that will make you laugh, cry and feel better about yourself as a parent, then Scary Mommy is the place to go! On this site, you’ll find some helpful parenting survival information, combined with some sarcasm that reminds you that parenting isn’t all roses and butterflies.
If you’re looking for educated, research-based information about how to raise kids and teach them right from wrong, this isn’t the place for you. If you’re offended by some crude language that depicts the true feelings that real parents experience but are afraid to admit, then again this isn’t the place for you. But, if you’re looking for some humor to help you realize that you aren’t all that bad of a parent, then save Scary Mommy in your favorites.

#2 Positive Parenting Solutions
If Scary Mommy isn’t for you because it’s too crude and doesn’t have enough research to back the posts, then Amy McCready of Positive Parenting Solutions might be the perfect alternative.
On this site, you’ll find a plethora of information about what research says are the best (and worst) ways to raise children in this day and age. You’ll learn about how your actions and statements today affect the adulthood of your child tomorrow. These blog posts share information about social and emotional development on a regular basis, which of course is why I like this site so much!
I’ve never read a post of Amy McCready’s that I haven’t liked! Positive Parenting Solutions kicks out quality, research-based articles on a regular basis and I have nothing but positive things to say about the site. I highly recommend that if you haven’t checked this site out, you do so soon!

#3 Off to Dreamland
Sleeping can be one of the biggest battles that parents face with their children. If you’re struggling to establish a healthy sleep pattern with your child, Dr. Sasha Carr of Off to Dreamland is the one to reach out to.
On her site, you’ll find helpful blog posts about why sleep is important and how to help children develop healthy sleep habits that promote their optimal development. You probably won’t laugh or cry (unless her tips help your baby sleep through the night and you cry tears of joy), but you’ll find plenty of information that will help you to help your kids get the best sleep possible.
Sleep coaching services are also available through her website for an additional cost.
Dr. Carr also has a new children’s book aimed at teaching children how to learn healthy sleep habits, called Put Bungee to Bed. She has created a fun way to teach kids a skill they will need for life.

As of today, these three parenting blogs are ones that I enjoy, respect and appreciate for the quality content that they provide to parents on a daily basis. Hopefully you have a list of go-to parenting blogs that help you get your fix. If you don’t have one yet, check out these three blogs and see if they are worthy of topping your list!
